Scotty Hartnell started his career in Nashville, so why not end it in the same place? The 35 year-old should provide the Preds some good forward depth, and be a veteran voice in the locker room.

The Predators are looking to do what they’ve done in the past by signing forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie: add quality depth in the AHL and hold on to it just in case they need it, i.e Pontus Aberg and Colton Sissons. Labrie is another guy who has been around the game for a while now, and should help the Admirals out tremendously.

It’ll be nice to not have to see Patrick Marleau with the Sharks anymore. After 19 seasons with San Jose, Marleau will be heading to the Eastern Conference and the great white north. The Sharks could only sign one old forward this offseason it seems.
