Nashville Predators 2015-2016 Training Camp Schedule, Roster Announced

Dust off your jerseys and stock up on spare remotes. It’s almost time for hockey.

The Nashville Predators have officially announced their full roster and schedule of events for training camp, which opens Thursday, Sept. 17th. The first on-ice sessions will be Friday, Sept. 18th (9:35 a.m.) at Centennial Sportsplex. 31 forwards, 20 defensemen and six goalies will participate in this year’s camp.

24 of those player will head to Estero, Florida to begin rookie camp this Thursday. The camp will also hold a tournament with players from the Panthers, Lightning and Capitals, with the games running the 12th through the 15th.

Bridgestone Arena will play host to four preseason games, which includes a double-header against the Florida Panthers on Saturday, Sept. 20th. Games are at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time. Almost all the practices will be held at Centennial, however Ford Ice Center will host a scrimmage on Saturday, Sept. 26th ahead of the Skate of the Union.

All practices are free and open to the public, though times and locations are subject to change.

Nashville, Tenn. (September 8, 2015) – Nashville Predators Training Camp will open with physicals and a team meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, with the team’s first day on the ice coming Friday, Sept. 18 at 9:35 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex. A complete training camp roster and schedule is attached. Dates, times and roster are subject to change.

The Predators’ three-week camp marks the start of the 2015-16 season, and is highlighted by six preseason games, the first two coming after just two days on the ice when the Florida Panthers come to town for a doubleheader on Sept. 20(3:30 p.m. & 7 p.m.). The Preds will then play the defending Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Bay Lightning twice in a 24-hour span Sept. 22 at Tampa Bay (6:30 p.m. CT) and Sept. 23 in Nashville (7 p.m.), then round out their exhibition slate by hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sept. 29 at Bridgestone Arena (7 p.m.), then traveling to Ohio’s capital on Oct. 3 (6 p.m.).

All training camp sessions – with the exception of morning skates on Sept. 23 and 29, and a 2 p.m. scrimmage coinciding with the annual Skate of the Union at Ford Ice Center on Sept. 26 – will be held at Centennial Sportsplex.

Fifty-seven players will attend 2015 Training Camp – 46 players under contract with Nashville, five on American Hockey League contracts with Milwaukee, one on a tryout agreement and five unsigned draft picks. Thirty-one are forwards, 20 are defensemen and six are goaltenders.
