Predators Announce 2021-2022 Preseason Schedule

The first slate of games on the Nashville Predators’ 2021-2022 schedule is here. It’s preseason, but hey… any chance we have to put hockey games on our calendar, right?

The Predators will open the preseason with a double-header against the Florida Panthers on Sunday, September 26th. They will also play two games each against the Carolina Hurricanes and the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions Tampa Bay Lightning. All three teams have been traditional preseason opponents for Nashville.

The full schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, September 26th – at Florida (doubleheader)
  • Thursday, September 30th – at Tampa Bay
  • Saturday, October 2nd – vs. Tampa Bay
  • Tuesday, October 5th – at Carolina
  • Saturday, October 9th – vs. Carolina/

The NHL is expected to release the regular season schedule within the next couple of weeks. The one game we already know that’s on the Preds’ calendar is the Stadium Series game at Nissan Stadium against the Lightning on February 26th.

After a shortened 2021 season, the NHL is expected to go back to a full 82-game schedule. The league also plans to return to its normal divisional alignments, which means the Preds will once again play in the traditional central division. That includes the Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, and the newest addition, the Arizona Coyotes.

Excited to see hockey back on the calendar?
