Thursday’s notes: Ducks win, Preds are in

Thanks to an Anaheim victory over the San Jose Sharks last night, the Nashville Predators have clinched a playoff spot for the seventh time in the last eight seasons. This consistency kinda makes you feel a bit sad for teams which have gone years without the playoffs, huh?

Well, maybe not, but at least it’s polite to recognize poor, struggling markets like Toronto which just can’t figure out how to assemble a competitive hockey team.
