The Nashville Predators started their pre-season by dropping a pair of games today to the Florida Panthers, losing 6-3 in the early tilt, and 3-2 (overtime) in the second.
We start with Game 1 (box score), in which the Preds jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead before coughing up five unanswered goals the rest of the way. You can read the team’s take on the game via their own recap, but here are the video highlights (Viewer Discretion Advised):
In Game 2 (box score here), the Predators twice took leads on goals by Craig Smith and Gabriel Bourque, but the Panthers tied things up each time and eventually won it in overtime on a Tomas Fleischmann goal. I’ll update this post in the morning once highlights are available.
Next up, the Preds play at Tampa Bay on Thursday in a 6:30 p.m. Central start, in another game that isn’t scheduled for TV or radio coverage.
