Nashville Predators recall Andreas Thuresson

The Nashville Predators have recalled forward Andreas Thuresson from Milwaukee today, and according to beat writer Josh Cooper, he is in San Jose already, which I assume would mean he plays tonight.

Per the team:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Andreas Thuresson (an-DRAY-uhs TUHR-eh-suhn) from Milwaukee (AHL). Thuresson is the 17th Predators draft pick to appear on the team’s roster this season, tying a franchise record set last season.

Thuresson, 23 (11/18/87), has 15 points (4g-11a) and 12 penalty minutes while appearing in all 38 of Milwaukee’s games this season. In four different stints with the Predators a season ago, the Kristianstad, Sweden native posted three points (1g-2a) in 22 contests, including an assist on Nov. 10, 2009 at San Jose. Now in his fourth North American professional season, Nashville’s seventh choice, 144th overall (fifth round), in 2007 Entry Draft has amassed 95 points (43g-52a) in 239 AHL contests.
