Nashville Predators Recall Chris Mueller from Milwaukee

Following the injury to Paul Gaustad last night in Dallas, the Nashville Predators have recalled center Chris Mueller from the Milwaukee Admirals. Tomorrow night the Predators play at Vancouver, and bringing Mueller up restores some of the depth at center that would otherwise be lacking. For example, Craig Smith is winning just 37% of his faceoffs this season.

This arrived from the Preds:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Mueller from Milwaukee (AHL).

Mueller, 27 (3/6/86), leads the Admirals in goals (18), and is second on the club in points (36) in 2012-13. The West Seneca, N.Y., native has appeared in 19 games for the Predators dating back to the 2010-11 season, posting three assists. A season ago, the Michigan State University alum tied for fifth in the American Hockey League in goals (32), becoming the first Milwaukee Admiral since 2006-07 to score 30 goals in a season.
