Nashville Predators cut 6 from training camp

The first cuts have come from Nashville Predators training camp:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club sent six players from its 2010 training camp roster, back to their junior teams, leaving the camp roster at 50.

2010 draft picks Taylor Aronson (Portland, WHL) and Austin Watson (Peterborough, OHL) as well as 2009 selections Michael Latta (Guelph, OHL) and Charles-Olivier Roussel (Montreal, QMJHL) head back to their respective junior squads, while Jamie Doornbosch (Peterborough, OHL) and Cameron Wind (Brampton, OHL) were released from Amateur Tryout Agreements.

Twelve players who participated in Predators Rookie Camp – goaltenders Anders Lindback and Chet Pickard, defensemen Jonathon Blum, Ryan Ellis and Roman Josi, and forwards Taylor Beck, Ryan Flynn, Blake Geoffrion, Linus Klasen, Chris Mueller, Mark Santorelli and Ryan Thang – will remain in main camp.

No surprises here, but it will be interesting to see some of these young guns in Thursday’s pre-season game against Carolina.
