After watching a 3-0 lead slip away from them en route to a 7-4 loss in Winnipeg during Game 3, the Nashville Predators are forced to regroup and try to even the series once again tonight.
The Nashville Predators
Look, if there’s one thing this team knows how to do well, it’s bounce back after a loss. As of now, the Predators are 3-0 immediately following a loss in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
After coming out flat in Colorado during Game 3 of Round 1, the Preds seemed to have fixed that woe, jumping out to a 3-0 lead early in Winnipeg, silencing the crowd before the teams even made their way to the locker rooms.
The next 40 minutes, however, were a different story. The Jets scored 4 unanswered followed by 3 more after the Preds tied it. Now, this is not a new situation for the Predators. They’ve been down in this series, and they’ve lost games they feel they should have, or at least could have, won.
The Preds have the talent, chemistry, and intangibles to win tonight and finish out the series. The Jets are an extremely talented team, but this Predators team should be able to finish out the series.
Calle Jarnkrok has had his maintenance day, so maybe Miikka Salomaki will be scratched again after helping Mike Fisher score the first goal Tuesday night. Hopefully Jarnkrok can bring the fire in tonight’s must-win game.
The Winnipeg Jets
Mark Scheifele has played some fantastic hockey for this team in this series, and so has Dustin Byfuglien. Patrik Laine has been shut down for the most part, but he is still capable of having a breakout game during this series.
While Hellebuyck has two wins and continues to make most of the saves he needs to, he has shown throughout this series that he is not unsolvable.
The fans in Winnipeg will also do their best to tear the roof off of Bell MTS Place and send their team off to Nashville with a 3-1 lead. And if they get a 3-1 in this series, the Preds can all but kiss the playoffs goodbye.

- Like I said, it’ll be tough for the Preds to come back from 3-1, so this is a huge game. Don’t miss it
