The Black Hockey History Tour Is in Nashville this Weekend

This year, the NHL has expanded its Hockey Is For Everyone initiative to be a year-round event, with February going from being the designated Hockey Is For Everyone month to being a NHL and NHLPA recognition of Black History Month. You can read more about the NHL’s outreach and programming this month at NHL Black Hockey History.

The American Legacy Black Hockey History Tour—from the NHL’s press release, a mobile museum that “looks back at the founders, trail blazers, history makers, and Stanley Cup champions; and looks ahead to the next generation of young stars, NHL Officials, broadcasters and women in the game”—will be in the Nashville area this weekend.

On Saturday, the museum will be at the Ford Ice Center, open to the public from 3-6 PM Central Time. On Sunday, it will be at Bridgestone Arena, open from 9:30 AM to 5 PM Central Time. (These times are from the Predators’ most recent weekend event schedule—they don’t exactly match the times on the NHL site but should hopefully be correct.)

If you’re in the area, try to make time to check this out!
