OTF Updates

After our hiring frenzy over the last few months and amid some recent changes, we thought we should take a moment to update the OTF community on where we are with staffing and direction.

As you may or may not know, Mark Harris has taken a full time writing position with The Spun. He’s going to do a wonderful job in his new role. We wish him well!

In his absence, and in light of Dan Bradley taking a senior editor role over the summer, we have two new Co-Managing Editors here at OTF to announce: Alex Daugherty and Marya Kennedy.

Alex has been writing for the site for over two years, mostly handling Previews and Recaps for game day, but also contributing the odd article here and there. He’s been a visitor and fan of the blog since the beginning and is glad to be able to contribute in such a meaningful way. He lives Predators hockey much like all of you. He will be managing game days, providing analysis, and helping run a lot of the “behind the scenes” aspects of the site.

Marya has been writing for the site for a year, contributing to the daily links posts as well as analysis and opinion for your questions in the mailbag. She has been a regular reader of the blog for several years and loves the opportunity to talk hockey and share the game with other southern hockey fans. She will ensure you get your daily links fix and make sure the editorial process continues to run as smoothly as it always has.

In terms of site direction, not much will change under this new leadership. Dan, Jon, and Jason did a great job carrying on Dirk’s creation. Alex and Marya are huge fans and loyal readers of OTF and will do everything to maintain its legacy as the platform for the best Predators information, analysis, updates, and commentary.

Staff writers include all of the following:

  • Caroline Davis
  • Chris Link
  • Anish Patel
  • Bryant Fair
  • Michael Gallagher
  • Hayley Alexandra
  • Austin Pirkle
  • Bobby Misey
  • Emme Logan/

Finally, the most important component to this site is you, the reader. We could write about that hockey team on Broadway all day, every day, but with no readers, what’s the point? Audience is the most important thing in this biz. We love being able to interact with you, talk with you, listen to your stories, and share ideas back and forth. We are lucky to have the best readers in the Predators blogging world.

We mean that.

If you ever have any questions about anything we do, please don’t hesitate to ask.
