Hockey seasons are long. At times most players are thousands of miles away from home, from their family, from their friends, and sometimes things aren’t going so hot with their game. The life of a professional athlete is anything but normal, it can be glamorous, but it can also be grueling.

Having family in town can make a guy play better. No one wants to disappoint mom when she flew half way across the world to see you play. Even more so, no one wants to look bad in front of their friends.
