Predators Open 2020-2021 Season in Prague in 2020 NHL Global Series

The Nashville Predators will be part of the 2020 Global Series. The team announced today that they will complete training camp in Bern, Switzerland and play an exhibition game against SC Bern, Roman Josi’s hometown team. Defenseman Yannick Weber is also from Switzerland.

The Predators have three Czech prospects in goaltender Milan Kloucek (Motor Ceske Budejovice), and University of Connecticut teammates G Tomas Vomacka and F Jachym Kondelik.

The Boston Bruins will finish their training camp in Germany and play an exhibition game against Adler Mannheim.

The Predators will open the 2020-2021 season against the Boston Bruins in Prague, Czech Republic. Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak is from Havirov, Czech Republic. David Krejci is also from the Czech Republic.

The Predators will play in the 2020 Winter Classic on New Year’s Day. While this won’t be their first overseas game, it’s incredible to see the Predators selected for such a big international event. This will be the first time the Predators play in Europe.

The team’s official press release adds: “Game dates as well as broadcast and ticketing information to the 2020 NHL Global Series and 2020 NHL Global Series Challenge will be announced when available. To keep up with the latest ticket details and to gain access to special ticket pre-sale offers for each event, fans should register at NHL.com/GSSwitzerland and NHL.com/GSCzechRepublic.”
