The Nashville Predators announced Monday that 2019 first-round pick Philip Tomasino has been signed to a three-year, entry-level deal. Tomasino has nine goals and 14 assists (23 points) in 12 games with the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL. The 18-year-old was selected at #24 in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

On Saturday, the Predators signed 2019 second-rounder Egor Afanasyev to a three-year, entry-level contract. Afanasyev was drafted 45th overall in June by Nashville. The big forward has 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 11 games with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL. Afanasyev is 18 years old and impressed many at rookie camp this summer.

Neither of these entry-level deals count toward Nashville’s current 50-contract limit.
