The Predators announced today that they have signed 2015 draft pick Tyler Moy to a two-year entry-level contract. Tyler Moy’s senior season ended when Harvard lost to Minnesota-Duluth in the Frozen Four on Friday.
Moy, 21 (7/18/95), played 36 games for Harvard University this season, and led the club with 22 goals while tying for the team lead in points (45). He ranked among the NCAA’s Top 15 in points per game (1.25) and goals per game (.61), as well as pacing the Crimson and ranking among the Top 10 in the nation in power-play goals (10) and game-winning goals (5)…
Nashville’s sixth-round selection (175th overall) in the 2015 Entry Draft, Moy finished his four-year collegiate career (2013-17) with 101 points (45g-56a) in 131 games.
There was some initial worry among Predators fans that Moy might go the way of former Harvard Crimson player Jimmy Vesey, who declined to sign with the Preds despite being drafted by them in 2012.

As far as when Moy might make his way to the NHL club, here was Bryant’s take on Moy from last week’s prospect update:
With 44 points in just 35 games, his silky smooth hands (lauded as the best on the team) and hard, accurate wrist shot have given him the tools he needs to produce…
The tools are there for him to be a great two-way player with solid offensive productivity in the NHL, but his production has held him back in recent years. As he likely makes the move to Milwaukee once the Frozen Four ends I am interested to see whether he has finally figured everything out and continues to produce in the AHL or if he was merely taking advantage of less skilled NCAA competition.
Looks like the Admirals got themselves a nice late offensive addition for their playoff run.
