Ducks ship defenseman Pronger to Flyers – TSN
Despite all the rumor and speculation, only one trade involving current players was made yesterday, with the main parties beind Chris Pronger heading to Philadelphia and Joffrey Lupul going to Anaheim. The Flyers will need to make further moves to comply with the salary cap, and for Anaheim, this was prompted by word that Scott Niedermayer will indeed play next season, which meant they needed to move Pronger.
Reinsdorf files $148M offer for Phoenix Coyotes – TSN
The Reinsdorf bid, which aims to keep the Coyotes in Phoenix, has finally been filed with the NHL. To nobody’s surprise, it’s for significantly less money than the Balsillie bid.
