Nashville mayor pays shipping for catfish sent to NHL office by angry fan
She did what most of us wanted to do. I’m glad she got reimbursed and not arrested…considering what happened in Pittsburgh last year.

Uncommon path should ease NHL learning curve for Tolvanen
Great article about Eeli Tolvanen. I hope we get to see the fireworks before his 9 games are up. I’ve got the chant ready (in English and Finnish) just in case. Daa dirlin dirlin daa.

Deep roster from savvy moves opens wide window for Predators – ProHockeyTalk
Our depth and how we got it is reviewed in this article. While the article is very complimentary of of Peter Laviolette, the man behind the man, as we all know, is David Poile.

Here’s some more words from the man himself:

NHL announces possible Game 83 if Flyers and Panthers tie in standings – CBSSports.com
A statistician’s wet dream could enact an Extinction Level Event from the perspective of the league by triggering an 83rd game. Take a look at how the final playoff spot would be determined. Keep in mind that the Philadelphia Flyers only need a point tonight to stop the playoff from happening. Of course, it would make a great story line…and we all know how much the NHL likes the Florida Panthers story line right now.

Sedins give Canucks fans a final magic moment
Daniel Sedin and his genetic replica, Henrik Sedin, had an incredible finish to their final home game in Vancouver. In retrospect, it was so perfect, it almost seemed like it could have been orchestrated…but we could never accuse the NHL of that kind of stuff.

I post on twitter under the handle @SCSOTF. When my life allows it, I try to live post during Preds games, occasionally say something entertaining, sometimes give live updates at practice, and my son has formed an adorable friendship with Ryan Ellis. Give me a follow if you need more nonsense in your life. If you want really insightful analysis, you should follow my occasional writing partner, Kate R, who can be found at @statswithkate.

Speaking of Ryan Ellis,

-If you have to stay up and work on something, ask Alexa to play some old school rap. Amazon music has several great playlists…tell your young’uns to earmuff it.

-Are you headed to the game tonight? If you win any of the Fan Appreciation promotions contact me on twitter and maybe I can work out a story on the experience.

-Have any awesome experiences at home games or other Predators events this year? Want to say thanks or give some credit where credit is due? Contact me on twitter for involvement in a potential story.
