A hot-button issue for NHL fans doesn’t appear to be a pressing one for the league’s general managers, hence perceived abuse of long-term injured reserve replacement wasn’t even on the docket for their three-day meetings in Florida this week.
I’m not surprised that the general managers don’t think this is a pressing issue.
Couturier a healthy scratch for first time in career
Captain Sean Couturier, 31, a 13-veteran of the Philadelphia Flyers who admitted earlier in the day that he had been “struggling,” was a healthy scratch for the first time in his career on Tuesday, missing out on a 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Flyers have been having such a weird time but, of course, hockey being hockey, Tuesday night they got the bounces.
