Despite not playing since 2022 after suffering an awful eye injury with the Capitals, Hagelin announced that he was hanging up his skates after a career spanning 11 seasons and two Stanley Cups.
Not a bad move for the organization no longer headed by longtime GM Kyle Dubas. I’d say the window for this Leafs team probably only has two years left as well, so I guess it’s prove-it time for Keefe.
What an awful, awful move. Bill Peters resigned in disgrace from a NHL coaching job after a player he’d previously coached made a statement that Peters had directed racist slurs against him.
