Tarasenko changes agents during free agency
Free agent Vladimir Tarasenko has changed agents as he seeks a new contract.

Whatever Tarasenko is doing is…interesting. There have been rumors that some of the offers he hasn’t taken were very nice ones, in both dollars and years, though who knows whether those rumors are accurate.

Shattenkirk thrilled to join contender with Bruins
When Kevin Shattenkirk was entering his draft year, he believed that the Boston Bruins might take him. They had the No. 8 pick in the 2007 NHL Draft, and Shattenkirk, who was bound for Boston University that fall, wondered if it might make sense.

Grant-Mentis opens up about PHF’s demise, tough road to new era for women’s hockey

“I really do think people are kind of missing the whole story. Yes, this will put the best players in women’s hockey in one league, and definitely promote it, definitely get better over the years. But it kind of did ruin a lot of people’s lives in a very quick, 10-minute Zoom call,” she says.

Good luck, Patric Hörnqvist.

And a quick note–we’ve started getting spam comments, after a surprisingly peaceful interlude. Flagging those when you see them helps me find and remove them and the spammers faster; you can also block the user if you’d like, though that will only hide their comments from you. I’m looking into trying to implement better filters for now, and we have an improvement to the comments system (including Z key functionality!) coming later this summer.
