Gauthier says he has received death threats in aftermath of Flyers trade
After being dealt to the Anaheim Ducks Monday in a move that caught the hockey world by surprise, former Philadelphia Flyers prospect Cutter Gauthier met with reporters on Wednesday for the first time since the trade.
This is completely and utterly unacceptable. It would be completely unacceptable even if it were only Gauthier–a 19-year-old kid–who was getting the threats, but it’s also Kevin Hayes, who was rumored to have maybe influenced Gauthier’s decision.
Philadelphia, sometimes you’re wonderful, but at times like this you’re horrifying.

Edmonton’s Iron Horse: Draisaitl the next big Canadian contract to watch
He’s a Top 5 player in the NHL — we’d say Top 3 — as handsome as he is skilled. Now that William Nylander has signed in Toronto — with due respect to pending RFA Elias Pettersson in Vancouver — Draisaitl’s is the next big contract watch in Canadian hockey circles.
The man is going to get paid.
