For as much as fans talk about the Preds’ current situation, the one playing out in Chicago right now is ten times worse. The Blackhawks are a team in desperate need of retooling run by an old guard feeling the pressure to “go for broke.” It’s obviously too early to tell if this is a just a cold start (remember, the Penguins were seemingly in this exact same spot just months before their first of two straight Cup runs), but if the Hawks don’t improve soon, you’re going to see some massive changes in the Windy City.
