Nashville Predators News
After what felt like a disastrous start for Juuse Saros in net this season, there are signs of hope after a strong week going 3-0 with a 92.1% save percentage garnered the Finnish netminder the NHL’s Third Star of the Week for November 26th.

And we witness Roman Josi’s excuse to get out of most things live on camera.
In what was the biggest “actual” news of the day, Central Division rival the Minnesota Wild fired head coach Dean Evason and replaced him with former Predators Head Coach John Hynes. Minnesota comes to Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday – in fact, by the end of the week, every head coach in Nashville history will have been in the arena.
For those of you keeping score at home, by the end of the week, all four #Preds head coaches in Nashville history will have been in Bridgestone Arena:

Trotz (Nashville GM, coach 98-14)
Laviolette (New York HC, 14-20)
Hynes (Minnesota HC, 20-23)
Andrew Brunette (NSH HC, 23-now)
Charlie of the Renegades of Puck recap an exciting – if not nerve-wracking – 3-2 victory of the Jets this weekend, and takes a look ahead at the matchup with the Penguins.
Here’s your initial team preview for tonight’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Around The NHL
All-Star Weekend in Toronto is going to look a bit different this year, if not familiar. First, the league is making it a three-day event, so we have an extra 24 hours to make jokes about the Maple Leafs’ Cup drought. They’ll have a PWHL 3-on-3 event – which will be awesome, “All Star Thursday” will take place February 1st, the Skills Challenge on Feb. 2nd, and the All-Star Game Itself on Feb. 3rd. The All-Star game returns to an old format with the player draft.
The Corey Perry rumor that’s going around is 100% false. Carry on, everyone. #Blackhawks

I don’t want to spread misinformation as multiple insiders with Chicago have asserted that the rumors involving Corey Perry that circulated yesterday were not true, but the team policy of “transparency” doesn’t seem to be helping matters.
Our friends over at Hockey Wildness break down what exactly went wrong with former Milwaukee Admirals Head Coach Dean Evason, who ironically was drafted a couple months prior to David Poile’s hire as Washington GM in 1982.
Ryan Hartman will always be the “Hockey Dermatologist” – he’s great at getting under your skin, as Pete Weber would say. Or worse.
About Last Night – Recaps
Colorado 4, Tampa Bay 1
Former Predator Ryan Johansen has started to gel with the Avalanche, picking up two goals to bring his total to seven for the season as he and Alexandar Georgiev stymied the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1.
Florida 5, Ottawa 0
This game was only the third-craziest thing to happen yesterday in the NHL, which involved a very chippy Ottawa Senators team that got shutout by the Florida Panthers 5-0, and a game misconduct penalty handed out to every single player on the ice. See for yourself:
"Every player on the ice has a ten-minute misconduct." 😂

Calgary 2, Vegas 1 (OT)
What is going on with the Vegas Golden Knights? After starting the season 11-0-1, Vegas is now just 3-5-2 in their last ten games after an OT loss against the Calgary Flames 2-1.
Columbus 5, Boston 1
Columbus gave up the lead against Carolina in it’s previous game, but stunned the Atlantic-leading Boston Bruins 5-2. Columbus sits just 27th in the NHL this season and last in the Metropolitan division.
Buffalo 5, New York Rangers 1
Speaking of former Nashville Head Coaches, Peter Laviolette and the NHL-leading New York Rangers (15-4-1) fell to a struggling Buffalo Sabres 5-2 team that sits locked at .500 at 10-10-2. But what might have been the bigger news is forward Kappo Kakko leg injury that could lead to an extended period of time off the ice – including this weekend’s matchup with Nashville on Saturday.
San Jose 2, Washington 1
Not only has San Jose won two in a row, and has points in three in a row, but they did it by beating the Washington Capitals 2-1. Good for them – nearly half their points this season (12), have come in the last four days. It’s time for a miracle!
Tweet of the Day
The obvious choice – John Hynes is back in the NHL, just two days short of six months since he was fired by the Nashville Predators.
BREAKING: Sources tell me John Hynes will be the 7th coach in #mnwild history

Song of the Day
I’m sorry, but I had to.
