Vegas Odds: January Edition

It’s a new year, and we have a new set of odds from the folks at Bovada. The Preds’ odds continue to tighten, dropping to 20/1 in the latest update. Many books had the Preds as high as 100/1 before the season, so this is a pretty significant move. Our Boys in Gold are also right near the top in the conference and division odds, at 11/1 and 3/1, respectively. Another interesting move was made by the Florida Panthers, who fell from 200/1 in early December all the way down to 75/1 today.

In the awards categories, Pekka Rinne is your leader for the Vezina at 3/2. He’s second in the league in GAA and SV%, third in shutouts, and first (by a decent margin) in wins. Filip Forsberg continues to lead the Calder race at 4/5, but Johnny Gadreau is riding a hot December and is right on #PrinceFilip’s heels at 11/10. Gadreau notched one more point that #Scoresberg for December, taking home the NHL Rookie of the Month Award. A massive thank you to the bozos in the Situation Room for overturning Forsberg’s goal on Tuesday…
