Watch: Kevin Fiala Scores His First NHL Goal

It took less than a minute for the alarm to ring on #FialaTime.

Kevin Fiala scored his first NHL goal 59 seconds into his third career game.

The 2014 first round draft pick was called up by the Predators yesterday in an effort to provide a different look to the forward corps. Peter Laviolette made the decision to throw him immediately on the top line with Ryan Johansen and James Neal. The move paid dividends.

There was some confusion on the ice first, since the shot was so hard it looked like it may have hit the cross bar. Johansen tried to make the call a no doubter, but Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck made an amazing stick stave. Too bad for him, the Jets, and whoever has to put highlight reels together, the stop didn’t matter.

Congrats, Kevin. Here’s to many, many more.
