Another episode of the official team podcast, and if you’ve heard the news about what exactly happened to Matt Duchene’s finger, well, you may want to skip this one.  I’m sure it’s still family-friendly, of course, but the squeamish be warned.

2023 NHL Playoff Recaps

Tavares scores 3, Maple Leafs top Lightning in Game 2, tie East 1st Round | NHL.com

The Leafs made this series interesting as John Tavares’s hat trick led the way for a big 7-2 Game 2 win to even the series in the East at one.  Tanner Jeannot picked up a fighting major while getting into it with Luke Schenn, but was without a shot on goal, point, and just one hit on the night.

John Tavares scored a hat trick for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 7-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday.

Avalanche rally to defeat Kraken in Game 2, even Western 1st Round | NHL.com

This series is so much fun, and I sincerely hope it makes it all the way to Game 7.  The Avalanche bounced back from the game one loss, but the Seattle Kraken may prove to be the newer, flashier version of the Avs from the last few years.

Devon Toews broke a tie in the third period, and the Colorado Avalanche rallied for a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken in Game 2 of the Western Conference First Round at Ball Arena on Thursday.

Rangers ease past Devils again in Game 2 of Eastern 1st Round | NHL.com

Chris Krieder is a beast.  Plain and simple.  Also some guy named Kane had three points, and so far the New Jersey Devils are struggling to make this series interesting.

Patrick Kane had a goal and two assists for the New York Rangers in a 5-1 win against the New Jersey Devils in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Prudential Center on Thursday.

Golden Knights defeat Jets in Game 2, even Western 1st Round | NHL.com

I’m not a fan of the Jets by any means, but I’ve always enjoyed watching Vegas play and if they survive the series, there’s a chance I’ll be in town for a second round playoff game.  So let’s go Golden Knights, right?  The series is tied at one.

Golden Knights defeat Jets in Game 2, even Western 1st Round
Mark Stone scored twice and had an assist to help the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2 of the Western Conference First Round at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday.

Pavelski not with Stars for Game 3 of West 1st Round due to concussion | NHL.com

The ageless wonder Pavelski didn’t travel with the Stars to Minnesota as they prepare to face the Wild in Game 3 of the tied series.  The Stars will look to their reserves to replace Joe Pavelski and try to take the series lead.

Bergeron questionable to travel for Bruins for Game 3 against Panthers | NHL.com

In a series that I’m suprised is tied right now, the Boston Bruins will play Game 3 without the great Patrice Bergeron.  The Bruins have plenty of talent and ammunition, but can Linus Ullmark and company keep the B’s on top of the scoreboard?
