Predators in the Wild: New Year Edition

The Recap

It seems like only yesterday the beloved local hockey team was raising their first conference banner…

Then about a month later this happened…

…and all of Nashville was like…

…followed briefly by a little of this…

…when we thought Mattias Ekholm was traded for Matt Duchene. As it turned out, David Poile still had one big move up his sleeve.

Colorado took picks and prospects from both the Sens and the Preds to send Matt Duchene to Ottawa. Sending Kyle Turris to Nashville.

Fast forward a few weeks…

Probably because…

Oh and…

In Summary…

Elsewhere…

Remember when players didn’t want to play for Nashville because there wasn’t enough “off-ice opportunities” for them?

P.K. Subban joins Adidas Hockey. This is big for hockey but even bigger for the city of Nashville. P.K. approves and so do we!

Oh and…

Two years in a row! But there’s no opportunities in Nashville.

Meanwhile…

It’s been a chippy season as the Preds have bounced around the top of the Western Conference. There’s been a little of this…

Followed immediately by this…

Some of this…

But most importantly a whole lot of this…

And whatever this is…

Off The Ice…

The Captain got engaged and they got a puppy…

While the post holiday lull has set in, and most of us are back at work and wondering when it’s appropriate to take our first vacation of the year the most important part of 2018 has already happened…

Ryan Ellis has returned!

His return is bittersweet with the loss of Filip Forsberg for the next 4-6 weeks but…

Happy New Year Everyone! May 2018 bless us with another deep playoff run where pairing shorts and hockey sweaters in 100 degree weather become just another Nashville staple.
