Preds Sign Goalie Tomas Vomacka to Entry-Level Deal
The UCONN goaltender signed his first professional deal on Thursday.
The Predators announced that 2017 draft pick Tomas Vomacka has signed an entry-level contract with the team.
Vomacka, a goalie, just finished his junior season at the University of Connecticut. He played in all 23 contests for UCONN, going 10-11-2 with a .909 Sv%.
Eric reported late last month that Vomacka might leave UCONN and that is indeed the case. Vomacka’s contract situation is a little curious and Eric breaks it down here. Further, Vomacka is recovering from a torn meniscus, also reported by Eric.
LRT: I'll also mention that Vomacka is recovering from a torn meniscus that he played the last month of the season with.#Preds

The Predators drafted Vomacka in 2017 with the 154th pick (5th round). Vomacka is 6-foot-3 and one of the more promising goaltenders in the Nashville pipeline. His contract will begin next season.
