Nashville Predators Prospect Entry-Level Expectations: Hardy Häman Aktell | On the Forecheck
Eric is taking a look at where the Preds’ prospects stand and what the expectations are before their negotiating rights expire.

Predators make big bet current group can win Stanley Cup | Yahoo Sports
While it’s too early to tell if the moves the Preds have made this summer will pay off, I’m willing to bet they do. It may not be an overnight turn around, but anything is better than how they crumbled in the playoffs this season.

Anything is better than reliving that power play for another season. Anything.

Meanwhile…we’re not the only ones wasting away waiting for hockey season to start.

Ryan Ellis or Santa Claus? You decide.

Philadelphia bar seeks payment from St. Louis Blues’ ‘Play Gloria’ craze during Stanley Cup run | USA Today
Sure. Or Philly could wait a few months for the Blues to fade back into oblivion and for everyone to stop caring. We don’t need t-shirts, t-shirts are evidence, and I don’t need evidence to remind me the Blues won a Cup before the Preds.

Stop trying to profit off my misery, Philly!

Sens get Anisimov from Blackhawks for Smith | ESPN
Seems like this is a salary trade for Chicago, freeing up a little bit of cap space but not necessarily getting much in return. I don’t know much about Anisimov or Smith, but glancing at the numbers Anisimov is the better player on paper, at least from a production standpoint.

I can’t even pretend to know what Chicago is doing anymore, so we’ll just chalk this one up in the “They Did a Thing” column.

PHT Power Rankings: NHL GM hot seat tiers | NBC Sports
This list reminding everyone that Vancouver and Buffalo are still teams with GMs before listing Marc Bergevin and Stan Bowman as teetering on the edge of total meltdown is a specifically accurate representation of this offseason.

5 players who could still be traded this summer | The Score
Kyle Turris seems a bit out of place on this list. Don’t get me wrong, I still think there’s a chance he gets traded before the end of the summer, but I wouldn’t float his name around any top five lists. Never say never but I don’t think David Poile is ready to close the door on Turris just yet.

How concerning is the Flyers’ goaltending situation heading into 2019-20? | Broad Street Hockey
Honestly at this point the Flyers should just go all in on Carter Hart and see what happens. Worst case scenario he’s not the phenom they thought he was, best case scenario he is and the rest of the East should be worried.
